This Privacy Policy explains what information Hooper Picks LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects when you use Hooper at hooperpicks.com (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly:

• Email address — when you sign up using a magic-link sign-in.
• Display name — chosen by you when you first sign in.
• Picks and predictions — the values you enter for each game.
• Room data — room names you create, participants, and game results.
• Email opt-in preference — whether you've chosen to receive match reminders and results by email.
• Feedback — anything you submit through the feedback form.

Information collected automatically:

• Account metadata from your sign-in provider (Google, if you use Google sign-in): your account ID and verified email address.
• Usage analytics — anonymized device, browser, page-view, and interaction data, collected through Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
• Service logs — Firestore and Cloud Function operations are logged by Firebase for security and debugging.
• Push-notification tokens — if you enable push notifications, your device's Firebase Cloud Messaging token is stored so we can deliver alerts.

We do not collect payment information. Hooper is a free service.

2. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Operate the Service — authenticate you, store your picks and rooms, calculate results, and show your stats.
• Send notifications — push notifications and (only if you've opted in) email reminders for new rounds, when all picks are in, and when results are ready.
• Respond to feedback or support requests you send us.
• Improve the product — understand which features are used and where the experience can be better.
• Keep the Service secure — detect and respond to abuse, fraud, or technical issues.

3. Third-party services

Hooper relies on the following third parties to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:

We share your information with these providers only as needed to deliver the Service. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies and analytics

Hooper uses Google Analytics 4 to understand usage. GA4 sets cookies and similar identifiers in your browser to measure things like page views, feature usage, and how people arrive at the Service. The data is aggregated and used to improve the product.

You can opt out of GA tracking by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on or by using a browser feature or extension that blocks analytics.

5. Data retention

We keep your account information and picks for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account (see Section 6), we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal, security, or accounting reasons. Aggregate, de-identified analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your rights

You can:

• Access or correct your data. Update your display name from inside the app, or email us if you need help with anything else.
• Opt out of email notifications. Click the unsubscribe link in any notification email, or email us. Push notifications can be disabled in your device's system settings.
• Request deletion of your account and data. Email feedback@hooperpicks.com with your account email and we will process the request.
• Request a copy of your data that we hold about you. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable period.

We will respond to verified requests promptly.

For users in the EU/UK (GDPR). Hooper Picks LLC is the data controller. The legal bases we rely on are: performance of a contract (operating the Service for you), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), and consent (for optional email notifications and analytics where required). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

For California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising), and not face discrimination for exercising your rights. 7. Children's privacy

Hooper is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please email feedback@hooperpicks.com and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), Firebase's authentication and security rules, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

9. International users

Hooper is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the US, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US, where the data protection laws may be different from those in your country.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Effective date" above and may also notify you in the app or by email.
